Modern automated systems for search of new technical solutions enable to determine the best solutions among the found alternatives. However, selecting of the best variants is being done on base of totality of performance characteristics, which are determined by experts in scalar form. In conditions of increasing requirements to performance characteristics it is not possible to determine always the exact values. Methods of finding the performance characteristics value in linguistic form is suggested in the present article, thus increasing possibilities of new technical solutions search automated systems.
