This article presents the results of the development of a hybrid artificial system, achieved by analyzing existing algorithms of artificial immune systems and a new one, developed at the previous stages of the study and shown to be effective, a heuristic algorithm - a modified genetic method of duels. The authors are considered potential methods of combining artificial immune systems and the modified genetic method of duels to increase the effectiveness of the former, assessed the effectiveness of the obtained hybrids in the context of the classical optimization problem by searching for extrema of such objective functions as: Mikhalevich, Rastrigin, De Jong, Young, cubic, Schweffel and Rosenbrock. The speed and accuracy of the search for the global optimum of objective functions are criteria for the effectiveness of the algorithm. Based on the results of the assessment, the authors determined the most effective way of hybridizing the algorithmic stages of the immune system and the modified genetic method of duels. At the end of the work, the article proposes a model of an intrusion detection system based on the developed hybrid artificial immune system.
