The necessity of accounting for fuzzy information about the quality of the material in the processing process in order to improve the functioning of industrial enterprises is shown. The role and functions of an expert technologist in making decisions in managing the production process is analyzed in detail. Description of the concept of the decision support system in the process of production control in conditions of uncertainty of information on material quality. Those material properties (based on fuzzy characteristics) are used as forming an effective management decision. The process of forming a fuzzy measurement system is described in detail and a model of the database and knowledge base of the decision support system for managing the production process in the face of uncertainty is proposed. The application of the proposed measurement system and model is shown in the formation of a fuzzy knowledge base for a decision support system for managing the iron ore concentrate enrichment process.
