The paper considers automation methods for analyzing Russian - language textual information in order to identify its semantic orientation using the example of linguistic examinations of extremist materials. The urgency of the problem of identifying extremist materials in Russian through linguistic examinations is substantiated. The existing approaches to the study of speech activity products are analyzed and their main features and disadvantages are revealed. The sequence of actions of an expert during a linguistic examination is described. The possibility of automating the process of linguistic examination of Russian - language materials is proved. Methodological recommendations on automated text analysis for solving various applied problems are proposed, for example, to search for prohibited content or restricted access materials on the Internet, filter age - related content, build advanced digital profiles of microfinance and banking organizations borrowers using content from social networks to determine the extent of their default behavior.
