The purposes of organizers of competitions on sports programming and motivation of their participants are analysed. The role of moral and psychological factors is shown within the framework of participation in such competitions. Set of the language means admitted to use at the decision of tasks; techniques of preparation and carrying out of competitions for schoolboys and students are considered. The information on the basic competitions on the sports programming spent in Russia is submitted.
