In the work an analysis of merits and demerits of modern methods of estimation of a technical condition and forecasting of a resource of safe operation in the pump-compressor equipment with an electric drive is carried out. Perspectivity of application of a spectral method of diagnostics based on the analysis of interrelation of parametres of the higher harmonious making currents and voltages, generated by an electric drive engine, with technical condition and operating modes in pump-compressor equipment is shown.
