In this paper is proved relevance of automated monitoring problem for attendance of Internet sites - for the purpose of information support of decisions, concerning with management of sites functionality, information filling, data updating frequency and so forth. Authors are considered the problems, connected with application of web analytics services (counters) for data acquisition about demand of Internet sites, their pages, and separate materials. The principles of interpretation for these data are proved. In article are described technologies of counters usage, their functionality, features and restrictions. Authors analyze various options of counters classification; the metrics used by counters; the reports formed by them. Also are investigated product indicators, who allow estimate (compare) counters. In this paper is given the assessment of informational content and usefulness of these indicators for various categories of persons, interested in obtaining data, concerned with demand of information, placed at the Internet sites. Comparison of functionality, merits and demerits of various counters, which are most widely applied in Russia, is executed. Authors are also investigated some questions of information security, connected with usage of attendance counters for Internet sites.
