JOURNAL BRIEF
The 1st issue of The Caspian Journal: Management and High Technologies was published in the 1st quarter of 2008. Since then four issues of the Journal have been published annually.
During its publishing, Journal columns continually changed. However, the main directions stay fixed, namely ICT, mathematical and firmware tools to solve various problems, IT security issues and techniques to solve them.
The Caspian Journal: Management and High Technologies is included into:
- Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory Database;
- the list of journals recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation (VAK) to publish the main scientific findings of candidate of science and doctor of science theses.
ISSN 2074-1707 has been approved for the Journal printed version.

Today the Journal accepts for publication works within the following groups of majors and individual majors:
Group of majors 05.11.00 “Instrument Engineering, Metrology and Information-measuring Instruments and Systems”:
05.11.01 – Instruments and Measurement Techniques (by types of measurements) (technical sciences);
05.11.16 – Information-measuring and Control Systems (by fields) (technical sciences);
05.11.17 – Instruments, Systems and Items for Medical Use (technical sciences);
Group of majors 05.13.00 “Informatics, Computer Machines and Control”:
05.13.01 – System Analysis, Data Control and Processing (by fields) (technical sciences);
05.13.05 – Elements and Instruments of Computer Machines and Control systems (technical sciences);
05.13.10 – Social and Economic System Control (technical sciences);
05.13.11 – Mathematical Support and Software of Computer Machines, Systems and Networks (technical sciences);
05.13.18 – Mathematic Modeling, Numerical Еechniques and Program Systems (technical sciences);
05.13.19 – Techniques and Systems for Data Protection, IT Security (technical sciences).
The Journal publishes research articles and analytical reviews on the majors above, as well as obituaries for Journal editing board members. Since 2019 information on forthcoming scientific events dedicated to Journal topics have been published.
At present, the Journal editing board consists of 28 people, 24 of which are doctors of science (technical or physicomathematical sciences and one person – of economic sciences). The editing board members include five foreign citizens (The Republic of Belarus, The Republic of Kazakhstan, The State of Israel, The French Republic and the Kyrgyz Republic).
Since issue No. 3-2017 was published, prof. Iskandar Maratovich Azhmukhamedov, doctor of technical sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Digital Technologies and Cybersecurity of Astrakhan State University, has been the Journal editor-in-chief.
Since issue No. 2-2014 was published, Yuri Moiseevich Brumstein, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor of the Department of Information Technologies of Astrakhan State University, has been the Journal executive secretary.
Issues of the Journal are published quarterly. Current journal nominal volume is 200 pages per issue.
The Journal is published by Astrakhan State University.
Astrakhan University Publishing House, Astrakhan State University’s division, is in charge of Journal publishing process.
The Journal has age restrictions: 16+.
