The article considers the methods of research experiments, the necessity of application of experimental-theoretical method which allows to make adjustments in the project solution at the expense of research as mathematical and physical models of radio devices. The structure of the control system design research with interchangeable software- hardware module. As a removable module may perform computer-aided design or test equipment, and hence, the problem of compatibility is one of the most topical. Introduction replaceable module allows not only to expand the scope of application of the developed system, but also lower the final cost. The foundation for the interface of engineering systems adopted model of open systems interconnection (Open System Interconnection, OSI). Means of solving the problems of organization of interaction between devices, presented in the form of a hierarchically organized many modules. For example, the modules of the lower level you can ask questions related to the reliable transmission of information between the nodes, and the modules next higher level – transport messages to the entire computer system. The conclusion is made that the structure of a control system of design research, with a replaceable hardware/software module that allows to increase the number of types of research in the framework of one system.
