Merits and demerits of use of two-dimensional graphic codes in comparison with submission of the same infor-mation in the form of linear (one-dimensional) barcodes are proved. The main versions of the bichromatic two-dimensional graphic codes are submitted, their features are compared. It is shown that due to "information redundancy" by the bichromatic two-dimensional graphic codes in combination with them various inscriptions, emblems and so forth can be applied. Possible technologies and software for generation of the bichromatic two-dimensional graphic codes, management of parameters of such generation, ensuring information security at generation of codes are considered. Technical means, program and algorithmic decisions for drawing the bichromatic two-dimensional graphic codes on objects, methods of reading of the bichromatic two-dimensional graphic codes, processing of only a few information, ensuring information security when processing the bichromatic two-dimensional graphic codes are briefly described. In this article the main traditional, low-used and potentially possible directions of the bichromatic two-dimensional graphic codes application are specified. Possibilities of generation, drawing on objects, reading, use of polychromatic two-dimensional graphic codes, including for a testing/training of color memory of examinees of persons are briefly described
