Making decisions is an integral part of the life of any person. Moreover, such decisions may concern both professional activities and everyday life situations. Recommender systems today are actively used in the process of supporting solutions to various classes of problems. They are able to narrow the range of possible options by optimizing the issuance of their set, taking into account the positive user experience. This paper reveals the theoretical and practical aspects of the use of recommender technologies in services oriented to the processing of spatial data, explains the existing problems and suggests ways to solve them. It presents approaches to the development of mobile and web applications that include components of recommender systems and implement decision support functions in the process of working with spatial information, such as the service of selecting excursion routes, the service for drawing up recommendations on the organization of leisure, the service based on augmented reality for analysis of territory use. New methods are proposed for the selection of personal recommendations with the use of mini profiling tests for person psycho-type analysis and managing the choice of options based on the convolution of user' limitations. An approach to the use of a cloud recommender system for improving the technology of presenting information in augmented reality (AR) is described. An analysis of user actions when working in AR mode to improve the work of the recommender system and its more effective response in the process of analysis the territory use is given.
