The article defined the relevance of the development of information models in the design process, monitoring and operation of the main fiber-optic transmission lines, as an example the development of information and telecommunication systems "Design and monitoring of Fiber Network". Based on the analytical review is determined by the methodology of data models. The solution of this problem are obtained information models of the design and monitoring of fiber-optic transmission lines. The paper discusses the stages of modeling the domain using the methodology defined by IDEF1X and tools to help solve the problem of optimally designing information-telecommunication systems "Design and monitoring of Fiber Network." Modeling the processes of "design" and "monitoring" allowed a decomposition levels A0, A1 and A2 for each process. This paper describes the stages of development of the model business processes, data flow diagrams. In the conclusion of the paper describes the development process data-logical database model. The process includes the development of semantic modeling, logical and physical data model. The logical model is based on the concept of "entity-relationship ’and shows the logical structure of information about the object model. The physical model defines the data types and key fields of the database tables in its physical realization of the floor DBMS.
