We evaluated the structural characteristics (SC) regional catering market (RCM) on the example of the Khabarovsk Krai. Information base of the research were the following sources: published official statistics, government sites (Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Khabarovsk Krai); marketing research of the market of public catering, 2010. The nomenclature of the SC RCM of the article is justified in terms of "need and sufficiency". Two approaches were used to evaluate the SC RCM.The first (in the framework of the Organization of sectoral markets) is the use of "standard" characteristics of the market and calculation of market concentration - it uses the number of seats in the institutions of public catering. The second approach includes intra-industry structural analysis under the strategic competitive analysis proposed by M. Porter. The results of calculations are presented in tabular and graphical form. Based on these basic findings about the structure of the RCM; assessed indicators of concentrations; development trends in time. We formulated the main conclusions about the structure of the RCM; rated its concentration; development trends in time. The study can be applied to information and analytical decision support for management of the RCM in the regions.
