Pro-active approach to automation of the hotel housekeeping service resources management

This article describes the benefits of pro-active approach to hotel housekeeping service resources’ management. The structure of housekeeping services and its role in the structure of modern hotel business were studied. The characteristic of the developed automated resource management system of housekeeping services was described. The aim of this study is the development of an automated methodology for pro-active management of the hotel housekeeping service resources. The implementation of the tasks was performed using development of software for hotel housekeeping service resources’ management. In order to design the pro-active management methodology, the intellectual core of the forecasting methods is used. The main results presented in the article are the architecture and algorithm of pro-active management system, which includes modules for resources requirements forecasting and management decision-making support. Implementation of the proposed methodology can improve the quality of the hotel housekeeping service management. The developed system has been in trial operation of a network hotel Park Inn by Radisson. As a result, its use has increased productivity and transparency of motivation schemes of the hotel housekeeping service staff.
