This article describes the process of deploying a corporate mail server through a configuration management system. The possibilities of the most popular configuration management systems are analyzed in terms of such basic criteria as the system architecture, the presence of a web interface, the language used, supported platforms, the need to work on a managed node. The technical requirements necessary for the correct functioning of the configuration management system and the corporate mail server were determined in the work. The created corporate mail system is designed for the highest possible level of security and confidentiality of business correspondence, convenient and fast interaction of employees, as well as monitoring and managing the university's email traffic, protection from spam and external attacks. This method of organizing corporate mail using a configuration management system simplifies the work of configuring and deploying a mail server, optimizing the work of technical personnel and the educational institution as a whole.
